What We Learned After Checking In With Our Mindset

Heading into the month of August, we felt the momentum of expansion, not just with the blog, but within ourselves as well. While we FINALLY launched our YouTube channel and have some exciting projects in the works, we were feeling the urge to do some interpersonal work. We recently celebrated our 24th birthday and it felt like the right time to make sure our minds were in the right place.

Why Your Mindset Matters?

Your mindset truly affects everything. If you’re in a place where you feel stuck, you’ll be unmotivated and find yourself feeling dissatisfied with your career, relationship, or whatever it may be. There have been times where we felt exactly like that, and during those moments, we really needed to be in a growth mindset. One that would help us move in a positive direction and experience all that life has in store for us.

And checking in with your mindset can come in all shapes and forms. For me, Carine, I set the intention to make sure I didn’t stray too far from one of abundance. I know that whatever I desire is right there and available to me. I can say that strongly now, but there was a time when I couldn’t. I was filled with doubt and anxiety, and didn’t know what to do. It kept me from going after jobs I wanted, making giant leaps, and, to no surprise, the self-limiting beliefs got stronger.

I knew I needed to make a change, so I set out to do just that.

How Did We Change OUR Mindset?

We went on a 7-day journey of writing, getting creative, and putting our wellness first. We even started incorporating more plant-based meals, but more on that another time. We first set an intention for the week to guide us on the right path. Having a defined starting point made the whole thing so much easier and focused because we knew exactly what we wanted to get out of it. We also raised our vibration with some art, which we NEED to make more time for, and recited a specific mantra every day.

We wanted to make sure we got the most out of the journey, and having an amazing mantra to repeat to ourselves throughout the day allowed us to take on everything that came our way. Things happen, especially during the work day, but it was always nice to go back to our mantra or remind ourselves of any breakthroughs we had while writing or drawing each morning.

All in all, we’re walking away with a new perspective and it feels amazing!
